I used to work for Tweeter. The story is the guy who is buying stock in them bought Ultimate Audio the same way. Tweeter has some "poison pill" option in place that supposedly would short circuit the aquisition. I guess they would rather go broke than sell out. Anyone have any take on this???

So I guess when all of the buyouts and mergers come to a final end, our progeny will be buying all of their electronics and tasty snacks from one mega conglomerate, perhaps from Taco Bell home electronics. Or McDonalds home theater interiors. Maybe there will even be a Microsoft bathroom-plumbing store.

I'm from the midwest, and not completely familiar with the Good Guys operation, but if I were in the west coast market, I'd probably be wondering about how all of Good Guy's suppliers intend on replacing the business that's being lost.
