I ran across a device a while back that would allow me to get a split or quad screen image from a projector and can't seem to find it again. If anyone has any info where I can find a processor to do this with a single projector I would appreciate it.

RGB Spectrum makes serious boxes that do Quad Splitting.

The Leitch Neo Suite View solo can do up to 12 individual images including several output versions that mix 4:3 NTSC and 16:9 ATSC feeds to the same output. Are you wanting to split a single image across 4 displays or put 4 images onto a single display???
If it is the latter you could use an inexpensive Camera quad depending on your application.

My client is wanting to do a video wall with 4 LCDs and 1 rear projection display. He really doesn't have the space so I am looking to do a nice front projector and give him the same level of coolness he wants within a reasonable budget. His version of reasonable is significantly different than mine, as my home fits in his kitchen and garage.

The timing of this thread is ideal! My wife & I wer'e just discussing 2 nights ago how we would like to be able to have a pc or laptop as the picture in picture source to accesss the internet with like a wireless keyboard or something while watching tv. We have a projector w/110" screen for our everyday tv in the family room. Lets face it, I'm lazy & do not want to have to get up & walk over to office 10 ' away just to look somthin' up! Erik

Looking at the quadView. Any new thoughts on this subject? Any with a more Remote friendly interface. Other than Crestron/Amx.

If the guy has the cash (sorry flandon) then its hard to beat the DVP4DI. Combined with a nice touchscreen and some good programming and it will knock anyone's socks off. (Rumor has it a HDMI version is in the works...) [Link: crestron.com]

About 3 years ago Digital Projection Inc. had a demo of a media wall at CEDIA. It was really cool stuff. You could move images around and go to full screen with any of them. I don't know if it ever shipped but it would fit the job nicely.
