I have a client with a home prewired by the notorious alarm company (@#$%). My client wants multi source/zone control and has no cat5 at v-ctrls. Being a 2 story and 14 zones it will be pricey to retro. Came across Matrix Audio which supports all the features (source/zone ctrl and a party mode via keypad and or I.R)with standard prewire.Impressive 20 year warranty. Just wondering if any one has any feedback.
Thanks,
CMack

My only question would be the speed of commands sent to/from the keypad to the base unit. There has to be some drawback or all companies would do it this way.

We have been pleased with Matrix from day one. Simple interface, very reliable, great after-sale treatment from Matrix.

1 rule - no more than 1 speaker per amp channel - period.

I haven't witnessed any "slow commands" ever...

Matrix is pretty good but the sound quality is poor as compared to ADA,audio axcess,Niles etc..
Key-pads a little on the plastic side for me also.

Thanks,
The system cost a little more butt sounds like a good system, If the numbers work, I'll give it a shot.
