Hey Guys

I'll get to the point: I NEED some IR codes for an LXI SquareView 26 Model TV The TV was manufacured... about 15 or so years ago... Still a good TV, but the buttons on the front absolutely do not work, so the only way to control it is with a remote lol. The original remote has been lost. I'm using an RTI T1 remote control. Their IR library has 1 listing for LXI, and the codes don't work. (Not a lot of money to buy a new TV - before you wonder I didn't buy the T1, I won it.) Anyways, right now the TV is totally useless without a remote. I'm looking for codes not for any particular remote, but hex IR codes that I can manually put in. I don't have an IR capture device. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

LXI is/was the Sears house brand of electronics, and they never actually MADE anything. It was like how Kenmore apppliances are rebranded appliances manufactured by Whirlpool, Frigidaire, or whoever Sears could get to make them that year.

As for the LXI, I believe the big screens were manufactured by Pioneer for many years.

I would try the Pioneer codes, and maybe RCA or Mitsubishi if thhe Pioneer codes don't work, as these companies may have made various generations of the big screen models over the years.

You may find some identifying mark on the rear control panel that can narrow the search for the original manufacturer.
