I recall seeing some sensors in the O of the older
Sony's.
An off topic story, but a true one, and you'll see my point in a paragraph or three.
My wife and I went to Italy last summer. We rented a very spiffy Peugot cabriolet, kind of a convertible with a clamshell folding hardtop thing. Lots of fun.
Off we went into the countryside. At our first stop we put the valuable stuff in the trunk and closed the clamshell top. Walked around a bid, and then went back to the car. Tried the clamshell again, and it would not go. A polite warning came up on the dash in Italian, but I couldn't figure out what it meant. The trunk would not open with the key fob thing any longer, either. No key slot in the trunk, hence no way to open the trunk. The manual was no more help than the dash warning.
We're screwed, we're in the hinterlands of Umbria, and no idea what to do. We start driving, thinking we'll find someone at the hotel that can speak enough English to help us. We pass a Peugot dealership, and my wife makes me (yes, makes me; I'm a guy and I don't want to ask for help, you know...) go back to the dealership. She jumps out, corrals a guy and mimes about the trunk. He comes out, laughs, and (the smart ones among you know where this is going) pushes the center of the O on the Peugot on the trunk. The trunk lid pops open. Turns out I had not secured the cargo net in the trunk and the darned thing locked the car up.
