Anyone ever set one of these up? My father-in-law just bought an RV with one of these and wants DirectTV. The coach has this installed. What's necessary to get this thing up and running. Do I need to go into the antenna with a terminal editor and tell it which antennas to use? If thats the case exactly how and whose software? Do I need to activate the antenna thru KVH and then activate the DirectTV card too? I'm slightly out of my element here. The friggin thing had the energy management panel wired wrong from the factory. I had to to spend 3 hours fixing that too. Any help??

Just call KVH tech support. You'll need a computer with hyperterminal and an RS232 jack. At least for the ones I've dealt with on Yatchs. I'd assume its the same. Tech support is really helpful and will walk you through everything. Its not that tough with their help.

KVH and Seatel can be a pain, you may need to call KVH tech support or try to trouble shoot it your self. Which model is it. ( small single gain wall mount version or the component type with the display window. Is it tracking. take off the dome. I have never done it on land. Only Yachts.....good luck
