I have been battling monaco for years now and still have few key ?'s As we know no current support is out there. Specificly i need how to modify and save custom key groups in construction set. But if you feel you are a Monaco god please please let me know we all need to share. to keep these damn things running for a little longer. Soon they will all be totally dead and we can then all live in peace.

Sorry, but I can't help you. I'll take a look at programming a little bit later and see if I can come up with anything. But I can rant a little if that helps.

You mean that great company (*SARCASM*) AMX won't give you any support? What's a matter, can't you just tell your customer the 50K - 100K they undoubtedly spent on their system is toast and to buy another system?

Better yet, explain to your customer how they can't add a single component to their system (like a DVD player from the 21st century) because only AMX could learn the IR codes for the NT system and AMX refuses to learn any more IR codes, even if you PAY them to do it.

After you're done doing that, tell your contact at AMX (if you know who it is, since they seem to change every week) to clean off their d__k cause they just f___ed you again.

p.s. And AMX wonders why their stock is at $1.00!!!
p.p.s. Sorry I couldn't help myself!!! I hate this company. And the amazing thing is they used to be a good company with good people. Just shows you how quickly a company can go down hill.

One more thing. It is not like I am expecting a miracle with an old product. Just not to be arrogantly told "too bad". And AMX has not only done this with old products. They are doing it with products they sold one year ago.

Call them and pretend like you would like to get service on a PHAST 3 way switch, which they were selling only a year ago. They are not making them any more and they usually can't repair them either. So even if you have $20,000 worth of light switches in someones house, too bad. Luckily, I never promoted that product. Someone needs to take this company to court.

What they have basically done is to decide to support Axcent and Netlinx and drop everything else. The writing is on the wall for Landmark. I don't have a problem with them getting out of lines that are not profitable for them. But they don't even want to have to spend money to stock replacements for light switches they made one year ago!!!!!!!!!!!!

LOL! I have one word for you - CRESTRON. Now there is a company that knows what service means. They still service the orginal big SmarTouches they made 10 years ago with no problems.

Thanks for he reply, my feelings are the same. Contruction set was designed to simply confuse any annoy the hell out of you. We have a few secret weapons for learning new component codes(Thanks Don H.) but this is of course top secret cia sh@t. But for some reason i can't figure out how to save custom templates so i don't have to redo all my cs stuff every time i have to rebuild in setup. Bottom line is that my job is to keep everyone happy for jus a little while longer. It the frickin' things would just break then we could look at other options. This has become my personal little war. Don if you are out there throw us a bone man. Just give us a few tips. Key groups, writing new .dll files we need your help. IR .cap files how the standard and user defined data base works. Source code. We got guy's that could do wonderful things with that too. Why not it's about time for open source. Never know who's reading or who can pass this on. Share already
