Replacing a customers ADA system on his Yacht with a Niles ZR. On the Flybridge is a custom made 3 Gang keypad (basically a plastic/fiberglass plate, silkscreen, with rubber buttons) for the old ADA system that came with the Yacht.

So, without customizing something I need either a three ganga decora weatherproof cover or a three gang weather proof keypad (xantech is 2 gang), or some marine cover that is larger than 3 gang. It is mounted in the side of fiberglass along a walkway so it needs to be as thin as possible also.

Anybody been here, done this?

Anybody have need of any old ADA Omega Stuff?

Thanks,
Rob

I have checked with niles on this subject before and was told by one of their tech guys that you can silicon the rubber keypad inserts (put a bead of caulk around the rubber before you put the white niles cover over it. then put another bead of caulk around that before you put the decora cover on and it should work for a long time.)
You might want to let the customer know that you are doing this for best looks and easy of use. Having to lift a door to change something is a pain. If he knows that also make sure he is aware that the keypads MIGHT go bad after constant weathering. But for only a $125ea. he might not care!
