Does anybody have a waterproof alternative to the RTI U1 (Or the Crestron rebrand)?

Looking for very simple 2 device operation. TV and Sat box. Need basically volume and channel changing.

the remote looks cool...just talked to sales guy...didn't really know anything...kindof impatient too. And it's www.balboadirect.com - here's the best part...their caption is "balboa direct, it just makes sense to buy direct!" and then the sales guy tells me they don't sell direct!!

Sounds like that remote has some great support behind it. Good luck with that.

In a pinch, just drop any remote into a ziplock.

When the Blue & Yellow make Green,
you know your controlling Everthing.

I would use the Zip-lock freezer bags though, they're a little tougher. You don't want to get a punchier on a nice remote :)

Ive used the Crestron version WPR-48, it works perfectly like most of Crestron's stuff. And the wow factor when you hand your client a remote for the shower with a rope on it is pretty big. I'd like to try the following so I could use it in a pitch, "you can throw your remote to the bottom of the pool, dive down, press a button at the bottom and by the time you get to the top your listening to music."

FYI the Crestron is not an RTI rebrand. I have used both and both work great, well worth the price.

If cost is the issue, RTI should be shipping the RP1 next week, this should make it more cost effective for smaller projects.

umm.. is that a Kameleon remote rebadged? If it is, avoid it like the plague.
We can do it my way, or we can do it my way while I yell. The choice is yours.
