Just heard from a reliable source that Meda (maker of what was a fine music server product, the Bravo) is going the way of the steam engine - has anyone else heard this? And does anyone else care?
I liked the product, and the people behind it. But it's an awfully crowded market . . .

That's a shame. I thought they had a very good hardware solution and appeared to be heading in the right direction. It also made ReQuest sit up, pay attention - and spearhead a revamping of their lineup, which I understand is in the works and will debut at CEDIA.
What a shame for Meda. Really is too bad. There was little like it on the market and it was a nice solution. I was even considering becomming a dealer.

From a letter to customers, reps, etc....
"Although sales have recently been good and reviews were excellent, Meda simply ran out of cash."

Hey, Julie, at least it wasn't a streaming pile!

I love the product (just did a Bravo 16 system with 50 channels of amp).
Steve (president) is still supporting the product and I hear reliably sourced rumors that there will be a continuation of the technology with new funding in the works. It would be a shame to see this product go away. The flexibility and price are amazing.
