I have a client who has an existing 624 and a tvs50. I haven't worked on a 624 for 2-3 years and can't remember everything. Can someone give me a quick refresher on how to configure the voicemail for a main mailbox and extension mailboxes together.

There really isn't such a thing as a main mailbox. All mailboxes have to be assigned to extensions.

Not entirely true. You can create a mailbox that covers multiple extensions. In my home, I have extensions 101 through 130, and created an extension 200 that covers all of those. Then I created a single mailbox tied to that extension 200. That way, all phones get the message light for the 'home' mailbox.
