Some of the better looking TVs out there still have reflective screens. This really sucks when trying to show how great they are during the daytime and the customer says "that picture is awful". Have any of you heard of or used a film coating that will help this?
We had a small-time rep come past once with a film that claimed to do what you want.. Problem was that what it made up for in reduced glare, it destroyed in picture quality. Never seen that rep or that product again.
The new Mitsubishi DLP's have an option to remove the supershield and replace it with a frame (about $90 retail) that makes the TV look like it was meant to be like this. Cuts down the glare very effectively in a bright room.
Sure beats having to use the Samsung tripe.
A couple of years ago, the Mitsu's had a supershield with a film that, when removed would mess up the contrast etc. This is not so with removing it now. Great TV (725 series)
Manuals?! We don't need no stinking manuals! a.. er..
