Convert the imager to a bit map (bmp) and make sure that it fits the screen and then convert it to 256 color. There you go.

If you're using Photoshop the image has to be set to Index color before you save it as a bitmap. For example you can edit it in RGB mode w/ layers and all, then convert it to index, flatten the layers, etc.... then save as bitmap.
