Some of the LG's do not respond to discrete comands, If you are into RTI or if you can use the hex, just download the mega code list #7 from my site you will need the sonance IR library manager or the RTI library manager to access the codes [Link: mastertheaterbuilders.com]

The one LG I used responded to discrete Zenith codes on this site.

The LG plasmas respond to all discretes whether from Zenith or LG. I have .ccf files and I can testify that the ir codes in the URC data base work for both plasmas and LCDs. The benefit of appearing intelligent, dispite the girth of my waste line is only being exceeded by that of my mouth, is that you pry open some back doors and find back room techs and engineers with answers. I do not know is if the rear IR jack works as in many cases it's for their wired remote and that connection is TTL. I control most displays via serial but I do know that the discretes work and that the LG back room employee has left valid codes for both Zenith and LG on this site. Tom, as usual, is correct.

Just did the Zenith version of this, and the discrete codes work fine. If you need specific codes, I have them available.

Nice to hear the new models are all working fine, the last couple of units I did 2 years ago did not respond to any discretes except for power on and off and I did have all the available codes at that time to try out, so I am just saying beware, some of the older models might not work.
