I've had my first client ask about Dell plasmas. I looked into it, and called the local Dell store in suburban Chicago. An amazing experience; the salesperson knew the answers to my questions (mainly about the remote; no discretes on this puppy) but Would Not Stop about trying to close me on it, Right Now. This was the most agressive salesperson I've encountered in many a moon.

Anyone know who makes this set for Dell? Anyone use one yet? I'm looking for selling points against this product, buy maybe I'll just tell the client to all this guy at the Dell store....

There is a dedicated thread on this TV over at AVSforums.com in their plasma area. Have been a lot of unhappy people with these as a large amount of them seem to buzz loudly while running.

Dell....The Wally world of the computing sector.

They're building a new plant here locally. Low wages for rather menial work which consists of putting all those Chinese parts together.

But this PDP thing must be an ego thing...Gateway flopped with it, so Dell has something to prove?

Can we have a lottery on how soon they'll fold the program? I'll take 11 months and 2 days....lol

This sure looks like the one I hooked up awhile back.

Not only agressive, but totally unskilled. I have too much respect for you to do it. Plus, I don't compete with you, so I don't need to sabotage you.... :-)

Put me down for April 07'.
I'm betting two Christmas seasons and the ongoing problems with all the units they sell during those seasons to bring us to that date. And they'll probably sell a boat load of them too.

Had a customer a few weeks ago get a Sylvania 42" plasma from Walmart for just under $1,500 (sale/close-out). I have never seen such a P.O.S. in all my life, it dumbfounds me how people can waste thier money on this s***

Thanks for the compliment.
Besides, I am the mouthiest mouth I know and I really need LESS talking from my current partners during presentations... Sometimes the prospective clients get too much useless knowledge piled on about "it can do this" and "you can also control that" in surround sound instead of a cohesive presentation.

Plus,
I don't compete with you, so I don't need to sabotage
you.... :-)

I'm telling all y'all it's SABOTAGE!!
