Installing 5 Speakercraft AIM 2 speakers. Left, right, and center speaker will be 12 feet from the main sofa and the ceiling height is 9 feet. Does anyone have experience with Speakercraft AIM 2 speakers and will I have enough tilt with these room dimensions? Would have liked to put them more into the room but due to lighting - had to stay close to front wall. Rear speakers are no problem. Most people have told me that AIM 1 would have been fine but I went 1 level up to AIM 2. Any opinions on the above scenerio would be greatly appreciated.

We use Aim 1 and 2 in our installations all the time. I almost always tilt the speakers towards the listening possition, usually aiming right around there knees for the front speakers. I am not personally a fan of in ceiling speakers but if they are needed then the Aim 2 aren't the worst.

The AIM speakers are very nice. They do a more than respectable job with movies and music. Having them close to the wall shouldn't be a problem, and the AIMability should be fine in your room. Enjoy!

I have used Aim 3s and 4s in a home cinema setup which sounded very good for in-ceiling speakers (make sure you check the depth).

I think positioning the speakers close to the front wall could actually work in your favour as you can angle them more towards the listener (you can angle the main driver then angle the tweeter for a bit more direction).

They also include bass and treble controls for fine tuning especially if the speakers are a bit boomy next to the wall.
