I was hoping for the assistance of the experts on this forum.
I was hoping for a product recommendation. I need a device to add to my existing Home Theater using the Niles Intellicontrol. The device would accept IR output from the Intellicontrol to control two or more additional contact closures. Is there a way to add additional contact closures to the Intellicontrol directly?

Thanks in advance.

Sure is.

Xantech makes a device called the cc12 that gives contact closure when given an ir signal. Ir signal source is that of all Xantech, the rc68. They also make a larger version called the cc62.

It works.

Fred,
Thank you for the useful information and I appreciate your response.

twix,
Sorry to see your named after a candy bar.
I find the Intellicontrol works very well. As I have a programming unit I can tweak to my hearts desire. That's the reason for my inquiry since I am adding the ability to automate my 4 way masking system into the Intellicontrols programming and control.

Also, the Intelicontrol has a programmable 12v trigger out put. You can program it to turn on when a specific device or button is selected. At that point, some line conditioners/surge protectors have a 12v trigger input that would work...

Twix is the name of my dog as stated in earlier threads and we all have our opinions, I guess I should have reserved mine...

Twix,
I am new to this board and was not privy to the history of your screen name.

I appreciate expressing ones opinion and in that vane I wanted to point out in a constructive manner why I like my Intelly Control. However without a programming unit my opinion would be very different.

The ease of programming the Pronto and others have is great. But I also wanted the device status monitoring and additional features like RF based transmission and contact closures the Intellicontrol has to offer.

Jose,
Thanks for the reply. I need to add two additional closures with dicrete control in addition to the contact closures the Intellicontrol already offers.
I am going to use:
Intellicontrol addressable contact closure:Masking Yes/No
Add on contact A: 16:9 masked to 2.35
Add on contact B: 16:9 masked to 4:3

I know I could get away with only two contacts, but I would like to keep it seperate for future flexibility.
