Does anybody know a partial or full serial command set for the Zenith DTV1080 HDTV DSS receiver?
Thanks in advance,
Tom Visser

\xFA\x45\x00\x01\xD2\r
RS-232, 9600 baud, 8 bit, 1 stop, no parity, no handshaking
That should trigger channel up

Thanks for the info.
I'm beginning to build an interface, but am not on site. What would be the response from the unit for the following commands?
According to documentation, the ch+ command should be: \xFA\x45\x00\x00\xD2\r What is the reason for the discrepancy?
"GET CHANNEL NUMBER" \xFA\x07\r (ascii or hex response?)
"GET SIGNAL STRENGTH" \xFA\x10\r (ascii or hex response?)
"GET DATE, TIME, DAY OF WEEK" \xFA\x11\r
"SET CHANNEL NUMBER" \xFA\x46\x##\x##\r (## = ascii or hex value) (also, 2-bit hex of decimal or 1-bit hex of 10's dec and 2nd 1-bit hex of 1's decimal position?)
"DISPLAY TEXT" \xFA\x4A\r (will this actually allow me to place captions on the screen?!?!)
Thanks in advance,
Tom Visser
