Can any one direct me to a voice activated remote control that has learning capabilities, and how accurate are voice activated remote controls?

Thanks!

The only one I remember is the Voice Coach... Cool concept, but nobody used it. Then they complained about how big it was...

Was it Sharp Optima??? I'm drawing a big blankola here...

invoca has a few, but do you really want someone talking to a remote during movies? how about when someone says "stop or I will shout" or "freeze", or how about if you miss what the actor said, so you want to rewind a bit

" stop"
"rewind"
"play"
- it missed the command
"play"
"no, rewound too much"
"FF"
" went too far"
"rewind"
"play"
"no, rewound too much again"
.....

"I give up trying to get it to the right place and I look like an idiot talking to my remote"

Also there was a thread in the old Pronto forum on how to turn a TS-1000 into a voice remote using a PC (someone built it for the fun of it)

also don't forget voice is one of those stuff that sounds good in theory but is annoying in real life

do you want to need to say volume up, volume up, volume up to bring it up 3 clicks

will anyone other then you (or even will you remember) that it is volume up, volume plus or increase volume.... is it pause or freeze....

If you are looking for voice as a gimmick that is one thing if you are looking for it because of vision or hand problems, I think a good touch screen remote is best

Way back in '88 or '89, we did car phones (at my old job), and we jumped on the voice activated thing early... What a mistake! The few customers who were the early-adopters were the ones who brought the cars back in every week complaining about them not working... Lost our shirts...
