Jim,
I'm starting this thread to see if other installers feel the same way I do about IR control of Control4 components.
I love the Control4 products I saw at the dealer training, but there was one feature missing that I really think you should make a prioroty. I would like to be able to control your products with a Pronto, or any other IR-based remote. As it stands right now the only way to control your gear is with, your gear.
For example, if we design a home theater with a Pronto-based system, and want to operate the Control4 ight switches in the room, we then need two remotes, yours and the Pronto. This is just one example, there are many more.
I have been told by various Control4 techs that your controllers have an IR input on the rear panel for this purpose, but that it's on the back burner for now. I was also told that it would be a year or more before the IR capability would be addressed. Basically, I'm asking if you could get this feature working sooner rather than later.
Thanks,
Dawn

Good News Dawn,
We are going to allow this in an upcoming build using the IR in on the back of the media controllers.
We will publish a list of Control4 IR codes that can be integrated in a system like Pronto.

Jim,
You made my day. Any idea when this build will be available?
Thanks!
Dawn
