I am looking for a device that will receive a IR command from a remote and then convert it to another IR command and transmit it out to power on a TV monitor when the DVR is powered on. It would be best if the device would learn both the in and out commands so the original remote could still be used. I have an LG HDTV DVR with a very nice multifunction remote but it does not support the Syntax LCD TV I have connected to it and unfortunatly Syntax didn't put an auto-power feature in this TV so it will not turn on or off with DVR. I really hate to setup a new remote just to control the TV power.

YOu can use teh Xantech Mini-macronizer (MAC1) to accpet one IR Code (Fromt he RC68+ Remote) and the MAC1 will send out different IR codes. This would still require you to reprogram you remote control to add teh IR code from the Xantech RC68+, so you might just be able to add the code to turn on the monitor into the programming of your original remote. What type of remote are you using? Maybe we could help more if we know what remote you are using.
