Hello,
I have 3 Sony Players in my AV system (a 5-dics, a 300-discs and a dual deck CD Recoder). I have a Sony RM-AV3100 remote to control them. How can this remote control all 3 players (independently)?
Thanks.

Don't believe it can be done unless the ORIGINAL remote and CD players support different codesets.

More likely, you'll need an MX-850 with MRF-250 so you can assign an IR flasher separately to each CD player.

The MX-350 would work too but much less capable and not pc programmable.

If you can take the 3100 back, do so at once - much better solutions are out there.
There is no truth anymore. Only assertions. The internet world has no interest in truth, only vindication for preconceived assumptions.

My buest guess without the model numbers is you can't do it. Just one prime example of a problem is the play button is the same IR command. You could get a Xantech IR router and cover the faces of all the devices so no IR leaks are possible, but take Tom's Advice and dump the Silver POS 3100 and get a remote with IR routing. You will still need to cover the ir emitters with shields.
I may be schizophrenic, but at least I have each other.

What models of products do you have?
Most of the Sony megachangers have a command set switch on the back of the unit, so that should take care of part of the problem.
Is the dual deck cd recorder a Pro product?
