I prefer not to use products developed by computer companies, they are always slow and crash lots.

Harmonies tend to lose information at times during the download, this has happened to me a few times and is frustrating, especially when you have to make 6 button clicks when only one is needed to the same thing.

HP, no idea, have not worked with it bt it is a computer manufacturere.

Didnt Computer Geeks make DVi? And doesnt DVi not work half the time due to no standard with it?

Harmony, easy to program but no RF...
I haven't used them personally, so I don't have any idea how the service is.
Considering Logitech is a computer peripherals company, I wouldn't hold my breath.

Hewlett Packard... they make great printers, and I hear they made good adding machines.
Anything in the consumer electronics area with the H-P name on it... I wouldn't touch it.
Plan to get someone from a call center in India if you need tech support. They have no personal frame of reference, they read answers to you from a book.

Try URC MX-850 or MX-3000 with the MRF-300 base or the RTI stuff with the RP-6 base.
These program easily and work well, and they each offer the features you will need in the future, even if you don't realize it now.

And either one has plenty of support here and directly from the manufacturer.

I would go with a Pronto or MX-3000 over the HP+Nevo, they are more customizable and have better range.

As for the 880, I have not used it, but did have a 745 and currently have a 768 and they are excellent remotes. The 880 is only available at BB right now, but I am sure it must be one great remote.

Have fun with either one of those two piles. I mean, good choices, way to think it through.
Gunga.....Gunga....GU-Lunga

And since Ernie won't keep count, I will. Hes up to 249, and counting.

Its not that Harmony is a bad remote, it's just that I hate them. It's all personal preference though, so if you like it, run with it. I just think there are better options out there for similar money.

Careful Carl...you may stand accused of laying some smack down! :)

I agree, I think the Harmony remotes suck, but you can get it at every big box retailer on the block! Thats a real bonus! I am bias, but I do not think that anyone in the remote game makes better, more reliable remotes than URC.
