I have a 6 zone system using a PA1235. Everything seems to be working fine, except on zone doesn't put out any sound. I tested the speakers, inputs, etc. I plugged in known working speakers and a known working input and still nothing. The light on the amp for that zone comes on and off properly, but no sound. The amp is only 4 months old. Could 1 of the amps burnt out?? I can think of anything else to try.

Go to troubleshooting .
There is possably a fuse ? or check that your outputs aren't shorted or blown , volume in that zone too high ? , not muted ? not too low ?
hook another part of the amp to that zone and see if it works .

Xantech makes two 12 channel amps. One is plain, and the other has electronic volume controls, operated by the rc68 protocol.
The model pa1235 is the controled system. I would suggest that you take a look at what the led's on the front of the amp are showing. The installation manual gives a legend of what they should be showing.
If you find that one zone is inoperable, use your rc68 remote and an ir sensor and confirm that the zone is set to the correct ir code group, and then check for operation. Reprogram your keypad or remote depending on what you use, and you should be operational.

I am not using any IR control (I am using a ZPR68 for volume). The light on the front is green, which indicates the amp is being powered on. I reset everything to the factory defaults by unplugging it. I am really thinking it is a blown amp.

Is your model the "x" version or not. Whether you are using the ir or not may be immaterial; it could be that you need to go in and raise the turn on volume.
Xantech.com has the manual for this amp. You may wish to check that.

I can't tell if you are an installer or the end user; you may wish to check with the tech support department at Xantech or the company that supplied it for you.
