How good is the I/R flood on the 850?
Im going to be installing a Lutron Spacer system for a customer to be controled by an mx-850. The wall switch is on the wall adjacent to the TV wall. If Im watching the TV, and look directly to my left, the switch is in LOS. So while I CAN reach the ir target by pointing the remote slightly to the left, Id rather not have the customer need to "remember" to point.
Do they typically flood this well?
Is there another option w/o running an i/r extender wire inside the wall?
Thanks

No, I wont install your plasma with an orange extension cord hanging down the wall. www.customdigitalinc.com |

I've never had an issue with a spacer that was in LOS, the IR on them is very reliable.

The IR on URC remotes is quite impressive! It should cover the entire wall of a standard size room without 'pointing' at anything!

I did a similar system with the spacer on the back wall of the room. The MX-850 did not always hit the spacer, so I mounted the MRF-250 on a shelf in the front of the room. It was now pointing right at the spacer. I turned the front IR blaster on and now it works like a charm!
Good Luck!
