Ok, I started a thread in the URC but am now widening my scope of helpers..

I'm looking for a Remote control locator. You know, something that will help me find my RF remote. They don't just end up stuck between pillows in the HT room anymore when they do multizone stuff...

Sharper Image has a beeper that doubles as a malignant cist attached to the remote.

I did find this one, not as awful looking:

Would love to discover a distributor so I could sell them with the remotes.

Got any suggestions between now and when Melvin figures out how to produce a remote w/one inside?

Just sell them the Universal Remonster -- they'll NEVER lose it. The rep can be reached at mailto:[email protected]

This is why they call it custom. These look to be small enough that it could be disassembled and fit inside most controllers. The tricky part will be tapping the remote battery to provide power, or making the receiver battery accessible. I might give it a shot.

Apparently I have slipped into early fogeyhood. What the heck is that? Google was not much help, as this is either a joke I don't get or a product I can't find.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

I'd probably be willing to muck up my own remote, but for clients I really love to build myself out of a job. It's wisdom in my little mind not to void over 100 warranties a year by doing elective surgery.

Anyone find a better mouse trap?

As a matter of fact, no. I'm sure my grandpa (98 years old) misplaces it from time to time but then he looks down and there it is on his lap. I got him the big one.

He doesn't find the remote, the remote finds him.

Now, what were we talking about? Oh yeah. bleep. bleep. bleep.
