i am just thinking about using some x-10 to control dimmers in a local resturant, they have dimmers located in a few diffent inconvient places, and i thought it would be nice to have a central control at the managers office, all dimmers need to be rated for 1000 watts, and lights are either can lights or track lights (all incondecent) and im assuming that lighting is on both legs of power if that effects anything. what do i need to ecconomically make this work? can the be programmed to dim and raise at pre-set times? any help will be appreciated

I'm always right. The only time I was wrong was the time that I thought, that I was wrong.

X-10 is more of a DYI solution than an Integrators solution. We strive to use equipment that will do what we want everytime. not 75% of the time. Radio RA will do what you need to keep the client happy, and no callbacks.

From what I have read, X-10 is for the guy who is willing to be on top of it all the time. As far as a pro or commercial installation, if it involves X-10, I think you will eventually want to be at the trash can.

So if you want to know where to start with X-10, start at the trash can. It will save you a lot of aggravation.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.
