I replaced the lamp in a Sony VPL-VW10HT front projector, and am experienceing problems with reseting the lamp. The Sony instructions state after Lamp relacement to put the projector in the standby mode, then on the projector to press the reset button, then foreward arrow, then backward arrow, and then the enter button. I have done this without successfully reseting the lamp hours. Does anyone know why this does not work?, or is there another way to reset the lamp hours?

If you followed the instructions correctly and had no success, try un plugging the projector. Allow the micro to reset. Then go through the procedure again. It may be necessary to leave the unit unplugged for a few hours. Sony power supplies stay charged for a long time.

I just did this last week. You were close, but it's reset, left, right, enter.
That's what is in the manual I have.
