Hi All,

Whilst we are introducing ourselves, far be it from me to be left out.

We are a Custom Home theatre installation and consultation company located in Melbournes Eastern suburbs. We specialise in multi room sound distribution and hidden home theatre design and installation.

We have been operating for about 3 years and are located in the largest growth corridor of melbourne.

The last 2 years have been really hectic and we find ourselves diversifying more and more every day. Once a humble home theatre installation co. we now find ourselves distributing A/V, installing alarms and installing structered wiring through out homes!!

We use mainly Marantz and Jamo gear for our hidden theatres and for those who want to see it as well we use boston or audio pro etc. We have found that Elan provide a complete multi room setup for 6 zones at a very competitive price and have used this and the marantz/xantech combinations on several occasions.

Of late we have finished one of our largest projects to date comprising a custom designed theatre located in a 110sq house (House my a**!!!! Its a friggen mansion) will a full elan S6 using Z100 controllers. The theatre contains amongst other things a Benq PE8700+, A Somfy 96" Motorized screen with a custom hideaway box, Marants SR 7500 7.1 Amplifier and an Audio Sub Focus Sub. The inwalls are all Jamo of course.

We will have pictures posted in the not to distant future at:

www.avdreams.com.au

but for the moment you can see the other jobs we completed late last year.

We are not choosy about our clients. We will (provided we have time) setup and teach someone how to use a $100 dvd player or completely redesign your theatre to match your budget.

I know this looks like advertising for us......but it IS. Shameless I know be if we dont do it how else would you know where to find us??

Matt

Well, since this is a forum for pros, I didn't know that anyone was looking to find you...

Nice of you to introduce yourself, I hope you and the others on the other Oz thread read the CI Lounge threads and gain something from them.
Also, feel free to contribute to the threads from time to time if you have a specific experience that may help someone struggling with a certain issue.
There are some regulars here from the land down under, and I enjoy hearing from all corners of the planet.

it's always nice to know that there's someone I can refer Aussie friends to.

A bud of mine moved from Melbourne to Brisbane a few years ago.... She has yet to send me the Blues jersey I asked for.... Are they still at the bottom of the Ladder?
We can do it my way, or we can do it my way while I yell. The choice is yours.

The viewing distance of the plasma was just on 5 metres away (17feet) from the couches. The client decided asthectics over viewing angle.

Symmentry is a pain in my ass!!

Hi Mod,

Thanks for the offer I will keep it in mind. Do you have a resume? If so you can email it to [email protected] and i will have a look over it.

We do a lot of Retrofit work around melbourne so we are forever in and out of roofs (playing with the spiders and rodents) We also work really strange hours. One of the things that we do offer is an after hour service for quoting and installation work. Some evenings we work until 12:00 and most saturdays and sundays as well.

Also if you could give us an idea of what sort of hourly rate you would be looking for that would be appreciated. We currently employ 2 fitters/installers but the ability to have more is handy

Regards

Matt

I look at it as .. "hey there is a place to apply if ever I wander out of the DC metro area!"
