I've been searching for in wall speakers that measure about 12" X 12" but haven't had any luck so far. I'm trying to work with some existing holes in a customers house. I guess Speakercraft is coming out with some square in-ceiling models, but haven't found anyone with them yet....any suggestions?

So far the square in-ceilings from SpeakerCraft only measure 7.25 x 7.25. No luck there.

Tannoy professional has them but the the ceiling will also need to accomodate their width and depth which is quite large. Triad might too.

Triad Silver mini monitor or Triad Silver or Bronze Omni should fit those spaces.

Triad, but the are not " full range " speakers Not sure what you mean. They are as full range as many other in-wall speakers, depending on the model. They may not have the boomy midbass from not having an enclosure that speakers without enclosures often have that is mistaken for bass, but otherwise they work just fine in most situations without a subwoofer.

The Triad In Ceiling Gold Omni/6 is a 13-1/2" x 13-1/2" but they require a 6" depth.
Also, any Triad with "Omni" in the name is a full range speaker, and as QQQ said, they have a refined and detailed sound. The secret is that they use real high-end European drivers instead of Chinese knockoffs of high-end European drivers.... and real wood instead of thin plastic.

I'm sorry, I just reread your thread and realized the holes are already cut. Is the holes in the ceiling or wall? Tannoy makes a ceiling speaker with a back box that you can get with a square grille that might work. Although, if this is in a wall it probably won't have enough depth.
Another solution could be if you can make the holes bigger. Than many speakers might work like the Triad Gold Omni.

Sounds like a pair of Canton InWall 9's (no idea if they still sell them, but sold a boat load of them, way back when...)

These James measure 17.5 X 17.5 X 3.875. Might work if you can make the hole larger. [Link: jamesloudspeaker.com]
