Do discrete video input selection codes exist for this TV? I'm getting ready to program a remote for this TV and the lack of direct access to inputs will practically eliminate my macro capabilites. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Toshibas have a pseudo discrete. Build a macro by hitting input then the # of the input.

I have not heard to many good things about discretes and toshibas, that might only be what I have experienced in my small part of the world.

I have done 2 Prontos with Toshiba displays and niether display had disretes, I can't remember about the on and offs. As far as inputs go, my work around was to anchor it to channel 3 ( any channel works) and toggle through the tv/video cycle. It was not pretty, but I have not had a call for service since I did it many months ago. I have even seen and talked to the client and they never brought up any issues, so it works.

We added a receiver to the project and they already had the display so I was stuck with it. Maybe Toshiba has gotten their act together and fixed things, then again maybe not. I am typing this on a Toshiba p.o.s laptop, which just came back from a month at the repair center to add to the months it has already spent in service and it barely a year old.

Sorry about going off topic and spinning your thread a little, but the Toshiba thing really pisses me off. Anyway I hope you have the best of luck. You can e-mail (profile) if you have any questions or want to see my config for a Pronto,

Good luck,

Toshibas made in the last few years have the pseudo discretes. They also have power discretes. Now their DVD players still dont have power discretes available, use the play for on, and power for off. But it won't work for their DVD burner.
