Can anyone please make a recommendation for a 1 in 2 out component video splitter. I carry Key Digital and all they have is a 8 in and 3 out (which will work, but I cannot justify charging my client $1499.99 for complete overkill)
Any solutions will be greatly appreciated.

Try the KDS KD-DA6. I think it is exactly what you are asking for although it does permit pass audio as well as video. Distribution amps are not AV switchers, let alone matrix A/V switchers. The 8x3 is a matrix RGBHV, analog and digital audio matrix switcher and is priced accordingly, albeit inexpensively for what it is.
