I don't know what happened, but if AMX came to me looking for a cash infusion, I would need to have them hand me the pink slip!

Hmmm, Very interesting thread....

Duchossis is a venture capital company. They
have investments in many companies. If this is
correct then all it means is AMX was looking for
a round of financing.

Wrong company. Duchossois INDUSTRIES ACQUIRED AMX.

Please tell me that at least one reponse read the Wall Street Journal. Duchossois has been after AMX for about 11/2 years. Bob Carrol turns away about 3 offers per week. When AMX is only worth barley 12mill 3 years ago and gets bought for 315mill in CASH, they must be doing something right. They really did not need any cash, AMX had 9mil sitting in the bank for a rainy day. Seems the main reason to sell are....nose bleeding offer at 22.5 a share 150% growth in 3 years, which seems to be the apology for the Panja crap...a new owner that is willing to dump another 60mil up front for more RND and marketing...finally AMX gets to be a private company, which will allow for more aggressive pricing and let them do things that they could not do under the binds of being a public company.
Whether everyone thinks good or bad of the deal, it seems facts speak for themselves, and rumors die quickly. Where this will take AMX in the next few years, I could only imagine, but I can almost bet money that they won't be making plates, cable, or scalers.

Thank the lawyers.

More realistically you should thank the money-grubbing, get-rich-quick lazy, lottery winnin' wannabe plaintiffs.

And I hate lawyers as much as the next guy. But there is a way to get rid of them.

Interesting comments in the post above mine. Hmmmmmm.
