I am currently finishing a prewire for Crestron, with Dap8rc's located local in a few rooms within the house with 7.1 audio.
Problem is I use mostly ICC for my plates/ports inwall.
Ports I use: Cat5e, Bannana, F-RCA, RJ-11, Solder RCA, you get the picture??
What I need to know is where can I get a port made to use with the Crestron phoenix connctors. I prefer the smaller green ones or the large black ones will work I guess.
I just want the plates on the wall to totally have the finish look. Imagine seeing a 10 or 12 port plate (2gang) with all the cat5, bannana, rca's, etc. And the Crestnet wire that goes to the Dap8-rc or RMCLV, has to be long enough to come out of a blank port to something.
Thanx,\ BNC
PS. not looking for a separate plate (single gang) really want a part that just inserts to an ICC plate. (Or brand like ICC)

I use 4 pin XLR connectors for Cresnet wallplate connections. This is a locking connector so there won't be a service call to plug the phoenix connector back into the wallplate.:)

or you call use a 4 pin neutrik, it actually inserts and turns to lock in place, al ittle harder to come out than just the locking xlr style

I like that idea. So I guess that there isn't an insert already made that can just pop into a plate with ports?? I didn't want to start adding another plates on the wall. I already have two double gang plates. (One for the 5.1 local speakers Custom Plate and One for the crestcat-d & bundle feeds, and RGB up to the plasma 12 port plate)
Thanx, BNC
I guess I'll have to customize another way

After a few days of doing some checking out different ideas of this situation I've come to understand how this industry is still in it's coming out stage.
I called crestron. They told me to use an XLR connector 4 pin just like studiocats recommended. I simply can't believe that even crestron never came up with the idea of terminating the crestnet in a wall plate. Now that I think of it, If there was a patch panel, I'd probably be able to punch down with all my cat5 and coax too.
Anyway, they don't have the part, so I called ICC, I sent them some pictures of the small green phoenix connector and hope they find a solution. I recommend making it into a port that can be inserted into any blank plate or blank patch panel. This way I can customize the plate on-site. Either that or call LIberty and have some custom plates made with 4- Cat5e, 6- F-RCA, 1- f-fconn, and 1 XLR Alot to fit in a custom 2gang plate. Funny thing is that ICC makes a 12 port plate. Just need that last thing to clean up any wires leftover.
