I think something that important needs security, but what happens if something happens to them. (out of business, site down for a few days, someone hacks site and can mess up your config)

You dont have to use their site to port in. Just get your own Static IP. I also talked to their VP of sales today and he said that you can set up to a 15 digit case sensitive alpha-numeric password.

Thanks Cincy, you should tell them to change the published info. At first I thought it looked cool, but then I thought "what about security?" the last thing you want is some hacker screwing with the temp. In places like California, it might not make a big difference, but here if you are gone for a few days and a hacker stops the heating for a day or two it can be catastrophic.
