I never thought I would get excited about a RCA, but their new series (HD44LPW165)has peaked my curiosity. There are quite a few custom friendly features such as a rear panel IR port, an integrated web browser, integrated HD tuner, and it actually looks good.

The problem I have found is with discrete codes. I have on/off codes and input codes worked out, but switching back to the internal HD tuner is causing a problem. I have been unable to find a simple way to switch from a video input to back to the antenna. This is due to a toggle antenna/cable function to go back to the tuner.

This is how I have solved the problem so far:

1) I set up the discrete video 2 input on the TV to go to the antenna

2) I deleted all analog and unused digitals from channel memory

3) the HDTV macro was programmed to select video 2, then channel up to the first available channel.

This works except the TV always goes to 4-1, not the last channel. I thought I had this beat by plugging in a last channel command, but the last channel is the component video input.

Does anyone have any suggestions? This is ok for now, but when we get a power outage and all presets reset, I am screwed.

Thanks
Andrew
