I would like to hear some opinions on some custom magazines to keep up on new custom technology. Sound and vision, stereophile etc... are all well and good but I would like something that talks more about whole house audio / video distribution, control etc. Any opinions would be appreciated.

If you are an enthuisiast, check out Widescreen Review, Stereophile Guide to Home Theater, and read here and AVS Forum. If you are in the industry, sign up for Residential Systems, CE Pro and the others.
Staying on top of the forums usually brings more (and better) info than what gets published. Just figure out which other posters are looking for what you're trying to do, and ignore the "your brand sucks" guys.
