I just installed a MX700 on a clients existing system consisting of a Sony VPLVW10HT, Yamaha RXV3000, Samsung SIRTS360, and Pioneer DV47A. This was a no brainer program and all works perfect except for one thing.
The Sony PJ will not accept an IR command to select an input until it has completed the lengthy power on process and has begun displaying a picture. For the power on macro I simply programmed a 14 second delay in order to give the PJ enough time to power up. Is anyone aware of a way around this so I can provide one touch on to any source?

You are kinda stuck with that PJ. I would tell the customer to turn the system on with the on button. That way when they change activities in normal use it doesn't have a ridiculous pause. I also set the PJ and the system in the most common source before shutting them down. That way it is most likely to power up to what they want when they turn on the system.

Exactly what I did in the original program, but thanks for the post. Andrew

I should've figured you already tried that:) I haven't tried the RS-232 with that projector but it might be worth looking into. See if the RS-232 codes are available. You can use an IR to RS-232 converter for the remote.

Infocus has terrible IR lockouts on their units. I always put a Xantech MAC1 Mini macronizer in with the IR/RF system. You make one button the turn on and one button the turn off. The sources then are selected. You then have the long set up when you push the on button, but not when you change sources. This is not a big deal if you are using a motorized screen, because you haev to wait until the screen drops the whole way.

I usally issue the input command early in the macro and then again after a lengthy (depending on the proj) delay. It seems to work, if the system is on and projector is warmed up the source switches instantly, the only problem is that after the delay you sometimes see the input text pop up on the screen(depending on the proj).
Hope this helps,
Alex
