Anyone know how current this processor is? I have a takeover job that has this, 4 7" touchscreens, 2 S1616A DA pieces.
Client recently bought the house. Trying to see if there is anyway to control the S1616A with Crestron.

At this point, I would consider the gSC10 obsolete. It technically can run the latest core module, but I have heard some people having a tough time getting it updated without headaches. The 7" touchscreens are likely paperweights, especially if you are going with Crestron. They will work with the latest Nice software however if they are the TP7 and not TS7.
The S1616a can work as a "dumb" amplifier by changing a setting from the front panel, IIRC. No way I know of to control it externally, aside from IR. In an Elan system, it required a ViaNet adapter which is Elan's proprietary control protocol, likely RS485 or 232, but no published commands that I know of.
I would probably recommend replacing all of it and starting fresh with gear you are familiar with and can support.

The Elan gSC10 processor is a control system designed for home automation, featuring multiple ports for connecting various devices. It’s a part of Elan’s comprehensive suite of products for integrated home systems. As for controlling the Elan S1616A with Crestron, while the S1616A is typically controlled via Elan’s own g! software, it may be possible to integrate it with a Crestron system using third-party integration or custom programming. However, there’s no readily available documentation suggesting direct compatibility or a standard method for integrating these two systems. For a definitive solution, it would be best to consult with a professional installer who has experience with both Elan and Crestron systems or reach out to the manufacturers for technical support. They may have specific advice or solutions for integrating these systems in a takeover job. MaximTimeClock

That's exactly why I posted here. We were Elan dealers 20 years ago, and switched to Crestron almost 20 years ago.
