Doing a bunch of outdoor party set ups with a PA system. Looking for a Bluetooth preamp streamer so that they can AirPlay and or stream android tunes to the system. What is out there to do this? Wifi is hit or miss so not really looking for a Sonos solution

I have used a BT receiver from Miccus- they have a few models, but the one I used is $50 on Amazon. Kicks butt- the range is excellent and it sounds decent. I didn't listen in a controlled environment like my living room because they weren't going to be used in a place like that- one is in a school gym and the other is in a fitness facility room for group workouts, but both systems sound better with this than the Logitech BT receiver that had been in place before BT-5. I tested the range with it connected to my garage stereo and it had no problem as I passed the limit of the $300 BT (a real POS) receiver I had checked out a few years before. I walked farther and it never dropped out, even when I was across the street and my brick house was between me and the receiver, more than 150' away.
My mechanic told me, "I couldn't repair your brakes, so I made your horn louder."

HEOS Link has Bluetooth, if you can find one. They are on backorder until August.

Maybe you could use the Zone 2 out on a cheap stereo receiver like a Denon DRA-800H.

Ive gotten 10 or more HEOS links in the last two months. Granted, the last batch sent was over 2 weeks ago. They all took about 3 weeks to get. From URC. But they eventually show up;.

Do you have Wi-Fi available at these locations?

I just set up the WiiM Pro streamer from Amazon and tbh, it was a breeze to set up and works great

I picked up one of these and it worked great. Range was pretty good.

I have one of the Logitech BT receivers and it's terrible. I used a Miccus to replace it in an installation and have had zero negative comments about the range which was the problem before. When I tested the first Miccus, I never lost the connection when I streamed form my iPhone 6, even after walking across the street and to the sides, which amazed me because my house was between me and the Miccus and I didn't have a direct line. The next day, I installed it in a school gym and when I tested the range, I was able to cover the whole gym, which has a full-size basketball court with a 15' border. The signal passes through two concrete block walls, too.

The Logitech barely goes 25' but the Miccus works on BT 5.0, which is far better.

I will also put a plug in for the Miccus products. They just keep working and haven't always been treated nice in the rack areas or media closets they live in. I'm not sure how they beat everyone else, but they are worth trying.
