I was wondering if anyone can turn me on to a approx. 50Wpc into 8 ohms digital amp that is like 8-16 channels or more.

I am aware of Elan and Theta but am looking for some more options.

A little high end but we sell a Audio Research that sounds really damn good, I am almost at the point where digital amps are accepable. I have always been a pure class A amp kind of guy, but AR is heading in the right direction.

I just used 4 of the D1650's on a job... I liked them a lot. All inputs have buffered outs, Bus input for grouping, triggers in and out. They're made nice to accompany other Elan products. I guess it depends on the application. The rack looked real sharp with 3 S12's to go along with them.

... oh yeah, we were only using low end sonance spkrs... i believe 622tr's but it sounded really nice... better than i thought. Easy to balance.

Anyone used the Russound amps? I am trying to save money on an install I am almost upside down in and considering the use of Russound amps over the Audio Control amps I would normally spec out.

TIA.

The audio control amplifiers are made in USA.

All of the others mentioned in the above posts are made in SE Asia and it sounds it too.

For sound quality and reliablity I highly recommend Audio Control. Clearly a difference in sound quality.

I wouldn't call the 622tr low end. They are however my entry level speaker and the Audiocontrol amps with the low end cutoff make them sound like a better speaker than they really are. You'll be impressed with the performance of these things. Unfortunately they arent cheap. But they are hand crafted in the USA and worth the dough

They are only the second model from the bottom in this series... that is what i meant by low end. Each spkr above will respectively blow the doors off the 622tr.
.... as i said earlier i was surprised by the quality they produced.

IMHO, the C series from Sonance would be considered Sonance's entry level. The Symphony series is their upgraded 6" driver speakers. The 622 are the 2nd from the bottom in the Symphony series. Not trying to argue.

I installed my first AudioControl amp about a month ago and was SHOCKED! at the performance of this thing. It really improved bass qunatity and quality.

Off topic...but we have used Sonance across the board and they have been found wanting. Proficient speakers are actually really good. We also like Niles and of course PSB.

What is the concensus on TruAudio and Polk Audio in-walls?
