THERE ARE TWO CABLES THAT RUN FROM THE MONITOR TO THE CONTROLL BOX I KNOW ONE IS A DVI DOES ANYBODY KNOW WHAT THE OTHER IS AND HOW TO EXTEND IT

Splice it, for the most part all those cables can be safely doubled in lenght with no significant loss. Any more than that and you can cause problems.
The worst that will happen is it won't work and you will have to take out the extra section of wire and end up with a splice in the middle of your cable.
