I used ARC for a very simple set up, which I know is always risky.

It worked fine when it was just the OLED built-in smart features and the Denon.

Then they added a Roku stick.

Since then the ARC still powers up the Denon etc, but the LG TV only shows a mute symbol on the screen and refuses to pass any volume to the Denon.

I've done a bunch of resetting, and disconnecting/reconnecting ARC in the TV etc and thought I had it fixed, but now the issue is coming up again.

Checking to see if anyone has had this "stuck on mute" issue with an LG OLED using ARC. No matter what you do the TV shows a Mute symbol on the right side of the screen.

More important, where did he plug power into for the Roku stick. I hope he didn't try to use the TV's USB port.

Used the Roku ac adapter plugged into power, Roku is plugged directly into the LG.

This is because I was trying to allow the customer to just use the Roku remote only.

Power up TV - it powers up Denon - volume works on Roku remote to the AV Receiver using ARC.

I guess it's just incompatible. Oh well.

Next question... why is the Roku plugged directly into the TV and not the Denon???
Is the Denon being used not capable of passing the max bandwidth of the Roku's HDR signal or something?
Not seeing a reason you are connecting it this way, which might fix the whole problem.
