Hey guys, since Sonos doesn't recommend a particular brand or model NAS drive to contain a music library, what have you been using with success?
TIA

I prefer Synology. They are certainly not the cheapest, but it is not mandatory to setup a 'Cloud' account, everything is local.

Been running a Synology DS1817 for quite a while now. Had the power supply fail a month or so outside of warranty, and they still sent up a whole new unit.

Also running an even older Netgear ReadyNAS Pro 6. It’s power supply has also gone, way out of warranty, but I replaced it myself and it’s still humming along fine.

To buy new, I’d get another Synology.

If you want easy and simple. Go with the Bluesound Vault. Just stick the cd in and in about 2 min it is copied in whatever type you want. Sonos can access this as it sees it as a "regular" music server.
