The new Mac MX-134 and MX-135 preamps have full discretes that are in the Home Theater Master's library.

Nice pieces to integrate too.

Of course, you didn't mention what model you're working with.

One preamp currently, or one preamp ever?

Lotsa times we find ourselves integrating "legacy" components. The original post should have mentioned the model number, but never assume it is always new gear.

A power toggle and a distrete off will get you to a discrete on. Set up a two step macro for power on; Power off, followed by Power toggle. Not optimal, but it will get the job done.

The predecessor to the MX134 (the 132) had discrete power codes (at least the last firmware update). Are you telling me that the 134 does not? I think a call to Mac support would be in order ((800) 538-6576). They may have a pronto ccf they can email you. That would sure beat the work around macro suggested. Nothing wrong w/ the work around but why do it if a true discrete exists?
Chasing Ernie's post count, one useless post at a time.

The MX-134 absolutely does have discrete on/offs. Again, it's in the Universal Remote library, but I've never used one with a Pronto.

The thing is... This mac was improperly installed by who? I don't know... It may have been hit by a power spiked. When I showed up on the job it was plug into the wall. I ask the customer if the electricity has ever gone out. They told m... "not that they know of". But the remote show a power on and a power off. But the power on toggles. So now what. Send the unit back to find out why it's doing this. I just spent 8 hours Calibrating the room and Unit. Do I really what to take it out now.... NO!!!!!! But if the unit has a problem... I don't want it to get worse.

I'll try checking to remote. Maybe the problems not the Unit but the remote it came with? It worth a shot.

Thanks for the help guys

Do you have a MX-700, MX-800, MX-850 or MX-3000 on hand? Try the discretes in their databases. I never programmed off of the factory remote, so I can't vogue for whether or not the factory remote is normal to toggle or not.

If push comes to shove, just follow Theaterwork's suggestion and write a macro for "Power Off", (possibly a small delay) then "Power Toggle". That would certainly get the job done.

Another thing that you may try would be to see if selecting an input serves as a discrete on command.
