Asking for a friend. I haven’t sold Sonos for over 5 years now. Seems the Connect Amp is disco’d. Is the Sonos Amp all they have to replace it? It’s appx $650? The Connect Amp was $500, so they no longer have a solution at that price point. Need at least 2 amps, possibly 3.

That is correct.
And it takes 3-4 months to get one.

I thought they released a 3 zone amp for the CI channel? I don’t see it on their web site

No. Maybe Heos?
There is no truth anymore. Only assertions. The internet world has no interest in truth, only vindication for preconceived assumptions.

The Sonos Amp are super expensive...to my own wallet and logic. Nevertheless, customers eat these up like it's nothing and have completely replaced other multi-room amplifiers for me. I order 5-10 every month and know that they are going to be sold. Can say the same for their speakerbars

I guess my friends is switching lanes and plans to use a few Yamaha WXA-50 amps instead. I’ve never set up a MusicCast system (done over a hundred Sonos systems over the years).

I’ve heard decent things about MusicCast.

1. Does it work with Alexa?

2. Does it integrate at all with Spotify?

We think they (Yamaha) sound better and like the On This Phone function but we see problems with them dropping off the app/network constantly. We don't see these problems with our Sonos units. The Yamaha unit in our office is hard-wired, on a reserved IP and still drops off regularly.

If you will be fielding the service calls, recommend the Sonos.

More like $699 retail now, and going for more than that on EBAY. Price increase happened beginning of November. My distributor has been getting them pretty regular now, and they are usually able to hook a brother up within a week or so, as long as you don't need a whole bunch of them. I know guys that are selling them for $800 each, and their customers are writing the checks happily.

I am selling more Savant these days for distributed audio.
