Wireless scares me too! The Penthouse is in downtown Washinton DC, and not too far from the White House. A perfect place for interference.

I have used the cat 5 that was run for the phone or computer drops and either installed a keypad near or above that jack or used the wire for an IR receiver. This will work if you can get to the termination point of the cat 5. You could also do this in select areas and use a RF piece to IR and get good coverage.

Hmm...sure are a lot of people here scared by wireless :-). Better give up all those remote controls. There wireless too you know ;-).
