Is there a way I can set my MX-350 so when I select the TV device I can lock up the remote so it will stay locked in the mode of the TV device, and if you press the MAIN button it does not bring up all the different devices, and the remote simply stays on the TV device mode?

Is the ultimate goal to control only the TV? Do you need to control a cable box or similar?

No. The 'Main' button isn't programmable in anyway. It will always return to the Main device menu when pressed.

That said, you could program all the buttons on the Main device menu to control your TV device. And have no jumps from that Main device page. That would effectively do the same thing. Kind of a PITA however.

Curious why are you wanting to do this? 80 year old is getting confused and constantly pressing the Main button?

This would be easy on a newer CCP remote. You could use lunch through for the tv to the main menu, and you could create buttons in the soft button spaces to just do whatever tv functions you want. Put the main tv device on a hidden page and program a press and hold on a button to jump to the hidden page after a set amount of seconds. I'm not sure Amy of this is possible with a 350. Can't even remember the last time I saw one.

If you remember how to program a mx-500, then programming the mx-350 remote is the same except for more paging to get things done. Since mx-350 only has half options per page as the mx-500.
