Ok Here is a Odd one.

I have a customer who had an old crt. He bought a KDE42XS955 from me. I hooked it up w/ his existing
H/K AVR210
SA8300 DVR HD
Cinea SV300 DVD

All Went well he shook my hand and Said good by.

He Stops by our shop a two weeks later.
Dave the Picture is delayed about .5 sec after the audio.
on all sources all video input including hdmi, component etc.

I told him to check the Recievers Delay(if there is one).
try telling the receiver different distances for the center. Etc.
nothing worked

Dave- This sync problem is addressed by our A/V Alignment feature
available on the DVPNS975V, ES DVD players, and the 5000/9000
ES receivers.

Hope that helps.

The only times I've gotten phone calls like that, the customer has somehow gotten the TV on the TiVo/PVR input, and the audio receiver on the direct cable box input (bypassing the TiVo/PVR)... Nice big time delay there, what with buffering...

Try hooking up some other cheap TV to see if the problem is being added in the TV or the receiver.

My turn to be zero help. Sounds to me as if the display is performing lots of video processing. They screwed up and failed to add the delay to the audio channels in the dispaly and came up with an after market fix--especially via their receivers where the fix is no doubt to delay the audio. I try not to deal with SONY any longer given their super DOA failure policy. But why not try the DVD Ultra or Lumagen as the fix. It might by pass the video processing of the display by performing it outside of the display. Yes, I would try this on a demo in the store before trying it on the customer to make certain that the outboard processor to not exhibit the same problem.
