Looking to replace my 20 year old Bose 151 SE Enviromental speakers on my patio. Never did like theses units. Have a 10" sub in the system. Looking at Polk Atrium series and Klipsch. Anybody have any experience with either of those?

The Definitive Technology AW5500/6500 sound great. They are a little hard to come by though right now.

I have done a few pair of the Polk outdoors and they sounded fine. I think there about 10 different brands that will sound better than those Bose.
There is no truth anymore. Only assertions. The internet world has no interest in truth, only vindication for preconceived assumptions.

My main problem with Polk is that Polk does nothing to protect the dealer. You can buy Polk Audio speakers online for just a few dollars more than through a disty.

The only way to make anything on Polk is to be direct. Plus, their speakers are okay at best.

I joined Coastal Source back in early October to develop and manage CA. Not cheap, but absolutely awesome outdoor speakers and amps.

I'm guessing that the original poster may not currently be working in the industry. There are many fine brands of outdoor speakers; the better the quality they are, the more they will require better amplification.
